I talked to Rad and Albert about a half an hour apart! what a trip!!! When I talked to Rad he sounded interested in doing something with the old tunes He said we could meet somewhere between San Francisco and Davis California and have a Jam session maybe at Alex's new place where ever that is.... Alex just got accepted at the University of California in Davis California.... so were looking for a jam house.... lots of rooms something old and Elizabethan... large basement? Albert is working on his new Jazz album He says its very "progressive" I'm waiting for a copy It might be good for SMOOTH JAZZ in Sacramento... he says he has good promotion behind it... Got some news from "Joey D" said they may want to do some new release on some old 60's stuff old "basement tapes" if anybody has any please send us an email ( Vaughn Kray???) who knows does any body have any film or camera shot or video??? we love to hear from you... dave@gingerwood.com

Howdy folks, its a new year and a lot of special things are in the works at the Sound Workshop. Here's an update for you on a few things we've been working on. Rad from the BUTTER SCOTCH GROVE just came up during the holiday season and laid down a bunch of rough tracks... We went round and around until our brains were dripping out of our ears (massive ear fatigue). Rad had some time off from the San Francisco Chronicle, so he went cruising up to Northern California. I haven't heard back from him yet. We may have to send out a search party. I also heard from Mark Solomon ex member of the GROVE. He was surprised that we all looked so young (HA HA). David Alexander Chalmers is working on his new solo album. He let me do some piano tracks (what an honor). He's calling it "Apple Pie and Ice Cream". (Who knows what it will end up being titled. In other news Albert Hurst is high tailin' it down to Mexico this Feb. for a little R&R. Well that's all for now... Drop us a line if you have time, and let us know what's up.
