Reciting the "Jabberwocky" is no small feat.
I can remember reciting it to a hard line biker named Leroy LePelbit.

It was snowing outside and LeRoy sat with eyes wide open next to the wood stove and listened to every word.

Then with a welcoming wide grin he began to laugh.

"Is that for real"? he asked. I took the book down from the shelf and turned to the well worn page. "So no matter what you say, you can even make up your own words and they mean something.? I rested my hand on the coarse cloth of his shoulder. "Yes!, everything we say, means something." He never asked, and I never said anything when he continued to walk out the door with the book in his hand. I often wondered much later what solace he received, what humor up lifted him from that one page, and dare I hope that he may have perused through to other pages to share whimsy he may have been denied.
